One wallet, wherever you use alfalfa:
The twelve words are standard (BIP39), and the key comes from them the way Phantom and Solflare make one (path m/44'/501'/0'/0'), so the same words open the same wallet, with the same address, in either of them. Only public keys and signatures ever leave your device.
Your wallet's twelve words are its seed phrase (also called a recovery phrase).
Write the words down on paper, in order. Anyone who has them, or the private key, controls the wallet. Never type them into a website, a bot or a DM. alfalfa and its support will never ask for them.
On the web, settings → your wallet → "Restore from seed phrase"; in the Android app, settings → "restore from seed phrase". Type its words in order and alfalfa opens that wallet in place of the one on this device. Restoring replaces the wallet here, so back up the current one first if it holds anything. You can also open the same words in Phantom or Solflare. On a Seeker, the Seed Vault restores its own seeds; then "use a wallet you already have".
Yes. Safari can clear a website's stored data, alfalfa's included, if you don't open it for about a week (sites added to the Home Screen are kept). If that happens, alfalfa makes a new wallet the next time you visit. With your words written down, nothing is lost: restore from them. Add app.alfalfa.trade to your Home Screen (Share → Add to Home Screen), and back up your words.
On a phone, "Open in Phantom" and "Open in Solflare" open alfalfa inside that wallet app's own browser. That browser has its own storage, so alfalfa makes a separate wallet there, not the one in your normal browser. To use the same wallet there, restore it from your words.
"make a trading wallet" creates a separate seed inside the Seeker's Seed Vault, only for alfalfa. It holds your funds and signs your trades, in the Seed Vault. Your Seeker's main wallet stays separate: it is only used to fund and to sign in, and "send SOL back to your main wallet" moves SOL from the trading wallet back to it.
Because the Seed Vault asks you to approve every signature, the app keeps one more key on the phone that only signs your chat messages, under a 7-day permission the trading wallet signs. It is not a wallet: it holds no money, and any SOL that reaches it is moved to the trading wallet. It is never exported, and there is nothing to back up.
Not today. Whispers in alfalfa are not end-to-end encrypted: the relay can read them.
The apps also make a separate X25519 encryption key. It is random, not derived from your wallet. Its public half is published so that private, encrypted messages can be added later. Its secret is kept encrypted on your device: on the web, sealed the same way as your words; in the app, in the phone's secure storage.
Your coins are never locked in alfalfa. Sell your coins, then:
/send all <address>, or /send 0.5 <address> for part of it. Any Solana address, any time./send all <address> in any room.Or open your words in Phantom or Solflare: it is the same wallet.
We can't: we never had your words or your key. But you can, from your words: restore them in alfalfa, or open them in Phantom or Solflare. A Seeker's trading wallet comes back from the Seed Vault's words. A wallet whose words were never written down is gone with the device or the browser's data, which is why alfalfa asks you to back them up.
The saying warns against letting someone else, such as an exchange, hold your keys. In alfalfa your wallet is made on your device and its words are yours: we never see them, so we cannot move, freeze or spend your coins. You can take the same wallet to Phantom or Solflare whenever you like.
Only when you tap Fund. alfalfa connects the wallet you pick (Phantom, Solflare, Jupiter or any standard wallet) and asks it to sign one plain SOL transfer to your alfalfa wallet, for the amount you chose.
Nothing else, ever: no "sign in", no approvals, no "verify".
Only these, and each one starts with a button you tapped:
Anything else asking your wallet to sign, approve, "verify", "claim" or "sync" is not alfalfa.
It shows your X handle with a check (✓) beside your name in alfalfa, so nobody can pass as you. Settings → "verify with X" opens X's own screen, at x.com, which asks your permission. alfalfa reads only your X account's id and handle: it cannot post, follow, like or read your messages, and it throws away X's access the moment it has your handle. One X account goes with one alfalfa wallet: to move it to another wallet, remove the link from settings on the first one (or write to support@alfalfa.trade if that wallet is lost). A check proves the person controls that X account, not that their calls are any good.
That is all of it. alfalfa has no Telegram group and no Discord, never DMs you first, and never uses a "verify" bot, Collab.Land or any other.
No. alfalfa never asks for your private key, your seed words, or a "sign to verify" or "sign to claim" transaction. Support will never ask either. The only time alfalfa shows your words or key is when you choose to export them yourself, and then only to you.
A fake site or bot asks you to "connect" your wallet, then to sign something it presents as a login or a verification. It is really a transaction: one that moves your tokens, approves a spender, or changes who owns an account. A common path runs from a tweet to a site, from the site to a Telegram group, and from the group to a fake Collab.Land "verify" bot that is the drainer.
No. First buy, graduated in N seconds, top wallets, dex paid or unpaid, and the AI risk read are checks, not guarantees. Most memecoins go to zero.
While alfalfa runs on devnet, every screen shows a red "DEVNET ONLY · TRADES ARE QUOTES" bar. Trades are quotes and nothing is sent; memberships use devnet SOL.
The terms have the details.
